Sounders looked good last night vs the Quakes. Attitudes were good, teamwork was nice, hustle was great. Here's a few things that stood out to me...
- Zakuani gave SJ all they could handle in the first 30 minutes beating his man several times on the left flanks.
- Ljungberg is just plain good. He looked a lot tougher last night and had an excellent chip shot over Quakes' keeper, Cannon.
- LeToux does NOT seem to run out of gas. He's all hustle and is playing better and better. His beautiful through-ball to Ljungberg was his second assist of the season.
- Montero looked like he was interested in playing again—he hustled well and put himself into the right spot for the GWG that came off a Ljungberg corner. Unfortunately Fredy's lazy pass right in front of our goal lead to San Jose's only score.
- King played really well at midfield. He seemed to be everywhere and won a lot of balls.
- Ianni played nice in the back. I think He's deserving of a starting position. Not sure if he can play as an outside back though. Anybody know?
- It was great to see Alonso back on the pitch. He's going to be a key part of the Sounders' success going forward.
All-in-all it was a well-played match. Let's hope they can use this win as momentum going into Wednesday night's match vs DC United.
I think Sigi has a difficult decision to make at the forward position. At the end of the day I think he stays with Montero and Jaqua, but I'd really like to see LeToux get more minutes. What do you think?

I guess what I am trying to say is: Keep doing what you do, but always be fair and try to respect Avery’s knowledge he has as a coach.
